Pets can get monkeypox (MPX) and transmit to humans and animals.

I wasn’t 100% on this as, I thought only certain wild dogs and monkeys could get monkeypox but the CDC USA says otherwise. We’re f’d if this is true. I won’t be patting anyone’s dog, or getting too much Asian takeaway. If true it also means we might see a sudden rapid acceleration in MPX…

First deaths from monkeypox reported. 5 dead ??

While the numbers of monkeypox infections have been growing steadily, their doubling time has extended a bit too. It doubles every 12 days or so now. When it first appeared in was doubling every 3 or 4 days but quarantine, isolation, knowledge about spread and symptoms, and use of some drugs has slowed it down.…
