  • What is happening to the BA.4 and BA.5 subvariants of Omicron in South Africa?

What is happening to the BA.4 and BA.5 subvariants of Omicron in South Africa?

I largely recorded this on video and uploaded to youtube. The world will have a new wave of BA.4 and BA.5 coming soon. I just looked up to see how these variants are faring in South Africa because they be dominant here in Australia soon. BA.1.* has essentially been wiped out, whereas BA.2.* have been…

  • What is going to happen in China?

What is going to happen in China?

China is in a real tight spot right now. It wants to maintain #zerocovid for good reason but omicron seems to be so infective and it has some of the densest population areas in the world, and more importantly most of these areas live and work inside where aerosols are most active. 97% of all…

  • Deltacron has landed in Australia

    Deltacron has landed in Australia

The dreaded recombinant variant #deltacron which I warned has not disappeared has now arrived in Australia. It has the spike like Omicron but the other parts are like the Delta variant. If it is 10 times worse as Omicron, which delta was, then the death rate could be hundreds a day, even close to 1000…

  • What is Omicron XE? Should we worry?

What is Omicron XE? Should we worry?

From what I know Omicron XE is some hybrid on BA.1 and BA.2 subvariants of omicron. The Omicron variants are the most infectious variants so far but their case fatality rates seem to be quite low 0.1 to 0.3%. There is still some uncertainly with BA.2. It may be more virulent. I have been unable…

Omicron BA.2 is quite different from Omicron BA.1. BA.2 is now generating it’s own subvariants. There are now 54 variants of Omicron.

I have always regarded the BA.2 subvariant of Omicron and potentially more dangerous than BA.1 as it is quite different. Up until a week or so ago, BA.1 had generated 19 new subvariants BA.1.*, e.g. BA.1.1 and BA.1.14, and BA.1.17. Now BA.2 is developing new subvariants, like BA.2.1 and BA.2.3. They have appeared in South…
