BNO News just reported that the USA just had 1043 new cases of the monkeypox virus (#MPXV) in one day. I am not sure results are reported every day so this may not be quite true. Here is the tweet, and here is the graph showing there are days of no reports.

The case number is the USA are doubling every 10 days or so, compared to the world’s doubling time which is closer to 15 days.

Meanwhile Australia has followed the WHO in declaring MPXV as a disease of significance.
