The number of deaths in France, Israel, the UK and the USA started rising recently and I said a few days/a week ago that Australia’s deaths from covid will also rise as these new Omicron variants BA.5, BA.5.2, BA.5.2.1, BE.1, and BF.1 kick in. They are mainly only in NSW.

Expect things to get much worse i9n the other Australian states, in particular Western Australia which was lucky to be cruising with an infectious less virulent strain in BA.2.10.1, which was first sequenced in Thailand, so some traveller bought it back from there and it went off here, nowhere else.

I happen to pick up this article. And I noted a woman near the bottom of the article is pictured with her daughter saying she does not want her daughter to have to wear a mask in school.
