Australia is the laughing stock of the world. Our politicians and public health officials threw away zerocovid to live with the virus. Not just that they are allowing the virus to rip through the population with no mask mandates indoors where superspreading occurs. I think they think herd immunity is possible but what will happen is that Australia will have endless wave after wave of covid variants spaced about 3 to 4 months apart. At the moment Australia is faring the WORST in the world. Politicians and epidemiologists in Australia are still not understanding aerosol transmission and the need to wear masks. Sorry folks, we may have to wear masks for the rest of our lives. I made this clear before Australia and the states opened up and so foolishly relinquished zerocovid.

Up until recently Australia has had more covid cases per capita than anywhere in the world. Recently Australia is being challenged by France, Germany and Israel, because they are already going through their BA.4 and BA.5 wave. Australia’s case numbers will also rise again soon.

In the deaths, Australia is leading with Israel and the United States in pursuit. Once again the the number of deaths will rise again in Australia as the new wave takes hold. The deaths in Australia are also highlighting the complete failure of vaccines. The vaccine efficacies have gone negative. See recent articles below.

Hospitalizations are on a rapid rise in Australia as the new variants move in. Australia’s medical systems will be completely overwhelmed soon. I do not know how long it will be before some action is taken. This is absolutely pathetic.
